Wembo got in touch with us a couple days before wanting to 'pop the question' to his beautiful girlfriend Jessica. Our Proposal Planners got to work by getting to know their relationship to tailor their proposal around this...
It was clear to us that Jessica absolutely LOVES Beauty & The Beast, so we know that this would be the perfect theme. Once we decided on the theme, the next step was to source a suitable venue. Wembo & Jessica would be travelling to London from New York for the first ever time... so a view across the mesmerising city was a MUST.
We instantly booked the Yi Private Dining Room at The Shangri-la Hotel in The Shard as this gives our couples the best views across the city including the Tower of London & Tower Bridge.
Our couple arrived at The Shard to be greeted by our undercover planner who was acting as a Shangri-la member of staff (so Jessica wouldn't suspect a thing)... They were directed to their 'table for the evening' but to Jessica's surprise, this wasn't any ordinary table...
As they walked into the room, Jessica was surprised to see a beautiful red rose pathway lined with twinkling candles in vases and a harpist who performed the famous song 'A Tale As Old As Time'.
Jessica & Wembo walked down the pathway to come across a table filled with famous props... a gold candelabra, old fashioned mirror, tea pot, cup & saucer, books, clock & a twinkling rose in a bell jar! The final surprise on the table was a mysterious book which said 'Open Me'...
Interested, Jessica opened the first book, which revelled another... and then another! The final book had the words 'Will You Marry Me' beautifully written inside by our talented Event Planner, Stephanie!
This was Wembos queue to get onto one knee and propose to his one true love...
With a HUGE smile on her face, Jessica said YES!
Our newly engaged couple then enjoyed a photoshoot amongst the themed decor followed by a private 3-course meal overlooking the amazing night views!
