London Luxury Wedding Collective

When we picked up the phone to the lovely Rupa Nagamootoo, from Rupa Photography earlier this year, we felt honoured that she asked our Founder Daisy, to be a guest speaker at The London Luxury Wedding Collective, which was to be host to the top luxury wedding industry experts in the country.

The day was kicked off with an introduction from event organiser Rupa Nagamootoo

On June 1st, over 60 industry professionals arrived at the stunning One Belgravia for a day full of inspirational talks, (featuring ours truly), interactive workshops, live shoots, fine dining and an evening of networking whilst sipping delicious cocktails.

We enjoyed a delicious three course meal Moving Venue

Top wedding planner Mark Niemierko opened the day as key note speaker, as he talked about his experience as a luxury wedding planner.

Daisy then spoke about her experience of the proposal planning industry and all of the wonderful proposals we have created over the years.

Founder Daisy bringing everybody to (happy) tears with her speech about the wonderful proposals we have organised.

The final speaker of the day was Anne Chertoff who spoke of her knowledge of using social media in the wedding industry from her experience as a Wedding Editor and Marketing Consultant.

Gorgeous decorations by Aime Bone Flowers & Mediterranean Occasions

After learning all the tricks of the luxury wedding trade we were taken to have a gorgeous meal created by Moving Venue, and our breath was taken away when we entered the enchanted oasis of a dining room that had been created by Amie Bone Flowers & venue stylers Mediterranean Occasions.

This stunning wedding cake by Sweet Hollywood was the centre of attention.

To top off a fabulous day we enjoyed some delightful cocktails from Crush Cocktail Bars whist we chatted to the other planners and industry experts present. It was our pleasure to be invited to such a creative and enlightening event, and even more so to have Daisy as a guest speaker. We made a lot of new friends and we hope to see them more in the future.llc16

Thank you Rupa for a fantastic day!

Enchanted Forest Wedding

Enchanted Forest Wedding

We had the pleasure of planning a beautiful wedding for a very special couple

Congratulations to Elisha and Amira

On Christmas Eve we received a phone call from the lovely couple. They were planning on getting married in two weeks time on Saturday 9th January 2016 and wanted our help to plan and coordinate their big day for them, and their thirty closest guests in London.

With a 2-week turn around, we spent the festive season researching the perfect venue to hold their civil ceremony and reception. And we found the perfect places for our Enchanted forest themed wedding.

The first stop – Asia House on New Cavendish Square…which was the perfect location for the civil ceremony!

A group family pic at Asia House!
The civil ceremony was very elegant as we used neutral and pale colours throughout with two flower bouquets in glass vases for the table, surrounded by little crystal vases filled with candles.

The couple’s personality shown through as they decided to walk down the aisle to their favourite music. This created an amazing atmosphere as the guests joined in.

In order to create the magical enchanted forest reception, we decided on these two amazing centre pieces for the table. They were so stunning and breathtaking. They were surrounded with candles in glass vases and miniature bouquets in silver vases. The lights were dimmed and the room was also filled with wax candles along the glass window, which were surrounded by lanterns.

Absolutely breathtaking!

The all important wedding cake was a three tiered red velvet cake, covered in white hard icing and was beautifully topped with bright coloured berries. The colours of the sweet berries and icing design stood out perfectly.

The guest book was kept quite simple with a detailed floral heart on the front. This was combined with a stunning feather pen.

The guests thoroughly enjoyed and were fully surprised by the entertainment for the evening. A guitarist singing John Legend ‘All of Me,’ and the second performance of Christina Perri’s, ‘A Thousand Years,’ by a violinist and guitarist. Both Elisha’s and Amira’s favourite songs.

The couple arrived at the venue and saw how the room had been transformed for the first time. Almost in tears, Amira and Elisha absolutely loved it.

Congratulations to Amira and Elisha! We wish you a wonderful and happy marriage!

The Proposers

How and where to propose on Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is a busy time for us here at Proposers HQ. Last year we had 7 proposals on one day across multiple countries. Phew!

Proposing on the most romantic day of the year has a lot of perks. It can, however, also pose some challenges. How should you propose? You want to do something that’s unique, but what can you actually do that’s different?

Don’t worry, as we are the number one proposal planners in the UK and Europe, we have a LOT of experience in this area and below we have listed some of our favourite Valentine’s Day proposal ideas!

Proposing at home

If you are on a budget, or you want to propose somewhere a little more intimate, then popping the question at home could be perfect for you.

Even something as simple as scattering rose petals of your partner’s favourite colour around the room or printing out photographs of you as a couple to create a ‘love story’ timeline of your relationship, will show your partner how much you care!
2015 The Proposers Will Jo-13

We offer a range of fantastic postbox proposals that can be delivered straight to your door! Whether you fancy proposing after a night of wine tasting or after eating your favourite pizza, we have you covered! We can even organise a movie night in with your partner where you can watch your own personalised romantic film before popping that all important question.

Proposing in public place

Before doing this you have to ask yourself whether your partner enjoys public displays of affection. If not, this probably isn’t the best way for you to propose.

If so, what do you like to do as a couple? Is there a place that you always go to on Valentine’s Day?

One idea could be to propose beside an iconic landmark with a busker serenading your partner to their favourite song.

Or, if you’d prefer, you can organise a huge flash-mob in the centre of the city and dance in it yourself.

Proposing somewhere unique

To make your Valentine’s proposal extra special, the location and the personality of your partner are key.

If your fiancee likes caving, propose in a cave. Alternatively if they like the beach, propose there.

We’ve recently organised a a private laser light show proposal at a stately home, a speed boat proposal along the River Thames, a proposal in the walkways of Tower Bridge, and a private dinner in a cave, so nothing is impossible!

Proposing in a restaurant

If you decide to propose in a restaurant, you’ll want to make sure that you don’t propose in a way that’s cheesy, and has been done 1000 times before.

Instead of putting the ring in your partners champagne flute, (not only is it a massive cliche, it’s also dangerous!), why not propose using a lovely ring box shaped cake that you can fit the ring into instead?

Or you could hire singing waiters to surprise your partner with their favourite song?

To make proposing in a restaurant slightly easier for you we have combined forces with Bookatable to provide the ultimate Valentine’s dining packages, as listed below.

1. Room Decor:

If you would like to propose over dinner, and want it to be in a private setting, then room decoration is a brilliant way to show your ‘someone special’ how much you care. By tailoring the proposal to your partners likes, you can show them how much they mean to you on this special day. We can transform your partner’s favourite restaurant to create the ‘wow’ factor that will leave them speechless.

2. Restaurant “Takeover”:

If you want to propose in a spectacular fashion, then this package could be for you. Whether you take over an entire restaurant or just a section, this proposal is sure to make the scene you’ll be hoping for.

bottle3. Quirky:

Proposing in a restaurant can be daunting so we’ve come up with some quirky ideas to help you propose in unique and different way.

4. Open Mic Night:

This package allows you to enjoy a totally bespoke line up for you and your other half whilst you drink and dine before you get down on one knee!

How to Propose on Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is considered to be one of the most romantic days of the year! It’s no surprise then that 32% of proposals occur on this day.

But why is Valentine’s Day so popular to propose on? Simply, because it is known as, the day of love.

With the entire month filled with romantic films, intimate meals for two and cute presents for couples, it’s not just February 14th that people want to propose on. And this year is extra special as it is a Leap Year, which means that women are more likely to propose to their partners too!

Our partnership with the diamond jewellers, Purely Diamonds, makes us a dream team. With our bespoke and personal ideas for creating the perfect proposal combined with their collection of beautiful diamond rings, we can take care of all your engagement needs.

We have put together a tutorial of how to propose on Valentine’s Day. It includes what you need to have in order to create a memorable event, how much time you need to make your ideal proposal a reality, and of course, advice on which beautiful ring you should choose.

The first five things to do after they propose.

They have finally uttered those four amazing words which you have been waiting to hear your entire life. You have got the ring and the location is perfect. But what’s next?

Do not panic. Here is a guide to the top 5 things to do after they have proposed.

Take Photographs

After getting engaged you are going to have to tell your proposal story at least 100 times, that’s why you will need to take out your phone and get snap happy. Not only will it capture that special moment you will want to remember forever but it will also allow you to show off your amazing proposal to all of your friends.

Before splashing a photo of your beautiful new rock all over social media, make sure that you tell your nearest and dearest first. Your mother will not appreciate finding out that her daughter is getting married via Facebook and your sister will hate being told by someone else who saw it on Twitter first! After that however, feel free to tell anyone and everyone who will listen!

Insure the ring.

This is incredibly important. If you had just bought a piece of expensive art, the first thing you would want to do is insure it. So, why should it be any different with your beautiful new ring? You may not think it but you’re carrying an investment around with you everyday. No pressure!

Get a manicure.

Your finger is going to be the centre of attention for the next few weeks so you need to make sure that it looks pretty. This is the perfect excuse to get a manicure, and once you have you can start flashing your ring to anyone and everyone you come across.

Start dreaming.

You now have a valid reason to browse the wedding section on Pinterest for hours on end, so make the most of it. Or head to your local newsagents and buy all of the bridal magazines you can find.  The sooner you get started the less stressful the run up to your big day will be.

How to create an unusual and original marriage proposal this Christmas.

Did you know that one in four proposals take place in December alone? It’s no surprise that this is the case as Christmas is one of the most romantic times of the year.

However, with a statistic like this you may be thinking, what can I do that hasn’t been done a million times before?

Not to worry, Santa’s little helpers are here to tell you about some of the most unique Christmas proposals that we could think of.

Spell it out in lights.

Imagine your partner’s surprise after returning home from a romantic night out to see, ‘Will You Marry Me’, spelt out in fairy lights?

If you wanted to surprise them even more we can to turn them on for you when your partner isn’t looking. That way the house will seem normal one minute and will say the four most romantic words they’ve ever read the next.

Use a mug

Christmas is the perfect excuse to drink mulled wine and this is also a great way to propose at Christmas.

If you are looking for something a little more low-key, why not use a mug to propose? You can sit by the fire, and watch Christmas films whilst drinking mulled wine. When your partner reaches the bottom of the mug they will be shocked to see the words, ‘Marry Me’ at the bottom!

Heart-warming? We think so!

Hang it from the mistletoe

What could be more romantic than mistletoe at Christmas? We know! Actually proposing underneath the mistletoe!

We can help you to create the perfect proposal by covering a whole doorframe in beautiful mistletoe. We will include personal touches such as photographs of the two of you, tickets from activities of what you have done together, notes you’ve written and of course the ring!

You can go out for a lovely romantic meal and when you return your partner will be shocked to see that the doorframe has been completely transformed into something magical.

Create a Fairy tale

If you’re planning to pop the question on Christmas Eve, why not do it using a book? You can give your partner their favourite Christmas story as an early present. When they open it they’ll be stunned not to see the usual pages within, but instead a ring!

Or, you can create your partner’s own personal fairy tale using our bespoke package.

Create a snow-prosal

This year why not give your partner a Christmas they’ll never forget by writing ‘Will You Marry Me?’ in the snow. You can either do this with real or fake snow, depending on the weather.

Alternatively you can position the snow and place a Father Christmas hat on top make it look like Santa is lying down on the ground. On the back of each hat you can spell out the words ‘Marry Me?’ What a lovely Christmas surprise!

All I want for Christmas is you!

We all love Mariah Carey’s hit song, ‘All I want for Christmas is you!’ If your partner does too and you think that this is the ideal song to propose to, we can help you arrange an amazing acoustic version or if you’d rather go one step further we can create an incredible Christmas flash mob proposal for you!

Advent Calendar

We think that proposing with an advent calendar is one of the most unique and thoughtful ways to propose.

Proposing this way gives you 24 opportunities to show how much you care about your partner before the big day. You can include anything from delicious chocolates to a voucher for their favourite shop. Sending them for a manicure is a must and so, of course, is the ring on the 25th day!

Live Proposal!

If you’d like to do something completely different we’re offering you the chance to propose live on TV on Christmas Day in front all your friends and family. For more information contact us on the email address provided below.
