Just over a year ago Faisal came to us because he wanted to propose to his lovely girlfriend Pelin. We arranged a beautiful proposal for the couple, which even involved their dog! You can read all about it here.
We were thrilled when earlier this year Faisal and Pelin contacted us again to ask if we would arrange their wedding. They told us that they wanted a small, intimate wedding with the ceremony and reception in the same venue so we set to work trying to find one that fit their criteria, and we found it; The Berkeley, a beautiful 5-star in hotel in Knightsbridge.
The couple wanted a simple, yet elegant wedding so we arranged for Sweet Pea Flowers to create stunning dome arrangements of hydrangea and white roses for the tables, and three pedestal displays full of hydrangeas, roses and lisianthus for the ceremony room. When the wedding guests entered The Belgravia room where the ceremony was to take place they were offered delicious cupcakes from Crumbs and Doilies before taking their seats. The service incorporated aspects from both Turkish and Indian traditions, which are the backgrounds of the couple. When the ceremony finished they couple and guests were lead into the stunning Ballroom where they enjoyed a mocktail hour along with delicious canapés before finding their name places and sitting down for a three-course meal. On each of the tables the guests found favours of Turkish boxes, which had trinket inside.Faisal had decided that he wanted to surprise Pelin with a performance from Bollywood dancers and the guests we thrilled when half way through their wedding breakfast they came out and performed to a mixture of Bollywood songs.
We throughly enjoyed being apart of Faisal and Pelin’s big day and wish them many happy years together.
Our client’s always love what we do for their proposal and they want to work with us again in the future, so we plan lots of exciting weddings from all different cultures and religions.

Are you ready to see a Love Story for the ages? Yes? You’ve come to the right place. Here you can see Robert and Ciara’s beautiful love story all on the big screen!
Robert wanted to create a stunning proposal for his girlfriend Ciara. The couple both live in Scotland but Robert wanted to propose in London so asked for our help.
The couple have recently had a beautiful baby girl and Robert wanted to incorporate her into the proposal so we suggested that we create a Love Story film about their life which they could then watch in a private cinema screening.
Robert loved the idea so we arranged for the proposal to take place at the Soho Arts Club.
On the day of the proposal Robert told Ciara that they were going to see a film and took her to the Arts Club. At the door to the cinema room he told Ciara that he needed to go to the bathroom and for her to go in alone. Ciara had no idea what Robert really had planned!
Take a look at the video of their beautiful proposal to see for yourself. Ciara’s reaction is priceless.
*Sob* Wasn’t their proposal so romantic! Congratulations to such a lovely couple. We wish them a lifetime of happiness!

Another year is over, and as the new one begins we are taking a look back at some of the amazing things we achieved in 2016.
New Team Members
At the end of 2015 Gina began working with us as an intern and we just couldn’t let her leave. She’s become a permanent member of our team of four, and as she was a massive hit with both clients, our wonderful interns and the team, so much so that she’s now been made our Client Service Manager and resident Wedding Planner, which brings us to another of our exciting development in 2016…
Our New Wedding Service
In April last year we launched our new wedding service. We realised that all of our lovely clients would need the help of someone they trust to plan the biggest day of their life, and we wanted to be the ones to help them with the next stage of their journey.
We have three wedding packages on offer, each are tailored to offer our clients are bespoke and creative service. You can read all about them here.
Since launching our service we have planned two incredible weddings. Our first was an enchanting wedding that took place in Asia House, and the second was at the exclusive The Berkeley hotel. We are currently planning two more in weddings, which are coming up later this year so keep an eye out!
Last year we partnered with The View From The Shard to offer their clients unique proposal experiences. This year Waddesdon Manor have asked us to be their recommended suppliers for marriage proposals and romantic events. We were thrilled to be asked as we absolutely love working at Waddesdon Manor.
For those of you who don’t already know Waddesdon Manor is a stunning French Chateau in Buckinghamshire. It exudes both beauty and exclusivity, which is perfect if you want your partner to be treated like Royalty. You can learn more about our partnership here.
We also work closely with The Ritz, Tower Bridge, and the Shangri-La Hotel in The Shard, which are three of our most popular places to propose.
In October our Founder Daisy attended Engage Summits where she spent five days with the world best wedding and events suppliers from around the world. The experience filled Daisy with a lot of new innovative and creative ideas, which is why we have updated our website to showcase what we do in the best way possible. Take a look at it here.
Last, but by no means least is the reason why we are writing this post in the first place.
If you read our post about what we achieved in 2015 you will know that each year we double the amount of proposals we organise, and this year certainly is no exception.
From hiring out entire hotels in Monaco, and recreating a McFly video, to organising romantic proposals across both the UK and the rest of the world, as well as getting multiple celebrities involved, this year has been incredibly exciting for us, and we can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store. We hope that you are in as much anticipation as we are!
Thank you to everyone, friends, family, suppliers and of course our wonderful clients for helping us have another incredible year. If you would like to learn more about what we do visit our website here.

Tis the season to be jolly, and with an air of romance and beauty surrounding Christmas, it really is the perfect time of year to propose.
So how can you propose in a unique and creative way? Below we have listed our favourite ideas for popping the question this Christmas!
Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree…
Imagine this; you wake up on Christmas morning, run downstairs and everyone gathers around the Christmas tree to open presents. Suddenly your partner realises that something has happened to the tree! All of the ornaments have changed and now are personalised to represent special moments in your relationship. As your partner walks around the tree taking in all of your precious memories they will come across one final ornament; a ring presented in a beautiful festive ring box, or an ornament spelling out, ‘Will you marry me?’. This is when you will get down on one knee and propose.Alternatively you can take your partner for a walk through a park where they will come across a Christmas tree. Under the tree your partner will find gifts, wrapped up in paper of their favourite colour. As your partner unwraps the gifts they will find presents that symbolise your past, present and future lives together. As they unwrap the last gift it is your cue to get down on one knee and pop the question. Take a look at our amazing Christmas tree proposal here.
Everyone needs to buy Christmas gifts so why not suggest visiting a romantic Christmas market to your partner? When you walk up to a stall just imagine your partners surprise when one of the stall holders hands your partner a beautifully wrapped gift with their name on it.
Inside the gift your partner will find a personalised present, for example a scrapbook, or love story timeline in a quaint frame. As you continue around the market this happens again, and again until your partner has multiple gifts. Finally lead them towards a Christmas tree where you will get down on one knee and propose. What could be more romantic than that?
Take a look at more of our beautiful Christmas market proposal here!
Laser Light Show
We all know that lights create a romantic festive feel so why not take this to the extreme and create a personalised laser light show for your partner? You can even tailor the light show so that it plays in time to your partners favourite song! Choosing a beautiful location for the light show will increase the magic and is sure to get you the YES you are looking for.
Take a look a fabulous laser light show proposal here!
Walking in a Winter Wonderland
Ok, so we know it’s difficult to plan a snowy Christmas proposal in the UK, but you can always fake it! Take your partner for a romantic stroll through the park where suddenly snow will begin to fall around you. As you walk further in you will come across your very own Winter Wonderland and in the middle there will be a giant engagement ring ice sculpture!
A cracking good proposal
Create a Christmas dinner to remember by proposing using a personalised Christmas cracker. Either put the ring into the cracker itself, or to avoid a disaster in case someone gets a little too carried away with the popping process, put a note inside the cracker instead, asking your partner to marry you!
Christmas Treasure Hunt
As you know Christmas is the season of giving, so why not go all out for your proposal and arrange a treasure hunt to all of your partner’s favourite places in the city. At each location they will receive a gift with a romantic note leading them to the next location. At the final location surprise your partner by presenting them with the ring.
These are just some of the romantic proposal ideas we can help you plan. If you would like you have been inspired by this post and would like help planning your own Christmas proposal let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit our website here. We have planned over 850 proposals in under 5 years so you are in safe hands with us!

We are pleased to announce that we have been asked by Waddesdon Manor to be their official proposal and romantic event planners!Waddesdon Manor is a beautiful 19th Century Neo-Renaissance French Chateau in Buckinghamshire. The Chateau was built by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild between 1874 and 1885, and is still run by the Rothschild family today. The gardens at the Manor are exquisite. So beautiful, in fact, that Queen Victoria invited herself to go and visit them!Waddesdon Manor is very special to us because over the years we have created a number of beautiful proposals there, as well as a gorgeous fairy tale wedding. And it’s not only the Chateau itself that you can propose at. The venue also offers The Dairy, which is a beautiful building designed specifically for events. Just imagine enjoying a private dinner overlooking the lake before being taken to the Secret Garden where you will propose.
If you want to travel to the Manor in style, you can either land in a helicopter (think James Bond!), or drive right up to door of the main house.
Alternatively, if you would like to stay in The Five Arrows, (a hotel in the Coaching Inn at the entrance to the Manor), we can arrange for you to stay here after your proposal. It is just a short walk from the hotel to The Dairy on secluded and scenic pathway.
Waddesdon Manor is perfect setting for creating the proposal of your partners dreams. There is such a variety of ideas that can take place, whether you hire out the Manor house itself, The Dairy, or the stunning grounds, we can help you create a unique and personalised proposal that your partner will love.

Rio 2016 has been a time of joy. Not only for all of the incredible athletes who have had a chance to show the world what they have been working towards for the past four years, but also for another reason. Love.
So far at Rio we have seen five marriage proposals and with half a week left of the Olympics the proposals might not be over yet!
A marriage proposal is such an important and personalised event, so why shouldn’t the Olympians propose at the place that has consumed their life for at least the past four years, if not more?
The first proposal of the Olympics came from Venue Manager Marjorie Enya, who proposed to her girlfriend Isadora Cerullo, a member of the Brazilian rugby team, by grabbing a microphone and saying a heart felt speech as the crowd around them cheered.
Enya told the BBC that, “As soon as I knew she was in the squad I thought I have to make this special.”
It is that sort of thinking that proves that the Olympics are a fantastic place to propose if the Games are meaningful to that couple.
You can see how special proposing at the Olympics is again with the marriage proposal of British Race Walker Tom Bosworth, who posted this cute proposal photo of himself proposing to his partner Harry Dineley on Copacabana Beach.
Although not quite a proposal as they are already engaged, former long distance runner Dean Golding spelt out that he was tired of waiting for married life by wearing a sign saying, ‘Can we get married now?’ as he cheered on his fiancee, triple gold medalist Charlotte Dujardin, during the individual dressage competition.
Of the photo Dujardin said, ‘”So Dean wrote this message to me yesterday … so he’s made it very public. It’s going to have to happen next year I think.” Originally the couple were meant to get married after the London 2012 Olympics but Dujardin was always too busy to set the plans in motion.
However, someone who has received a lot of backlash for stealing his girlfriend’s thunder by proposing during an Olympic medal ceremony is Chinese diver Qin Kai.
As his girlfriend of six years, He Zi, was exiting the podium after receiving her silver medal for the 3m springboard diving competition, Qin Kai got down on one knee to pop the question.
Even though He Zi said yes, and applause erupted from those witnessing the happy occasion, others were not so happy, especially the press who have slated Qin Kai for his choice of proposal location and for putting He Zi on the spot. Many have said that it has completely overshadowed her Olympic win. And it has, but mainly because people have made such a big issue out of it.
Just because the proposal has been seen by millions of people doesn’t mean that it is any less special than one that took place in private. People forget that not only did Qin enter the stage with a ring box, he also went on with a Beauty and the Beast inspired rose encased in glass, probably because it is important to them and their relationship.
Despite the criticism Qin had received Zi said, “”He (Qin) said a lot of things there at the podium. He made a lot of promises, but the thing that has touched me the most is that I think this is the guy I can trust for the rest of my life.”
At the end of the day the couple have dedicated their lives to the Olympics. For the past four years they will have spent hours a day meticulously training to reach this point, so having their proposal in the Olympic stadium will just have been the cherry on top. It will be a moment that Qin Kai and He Zi will remember forever.
Although some people may think Qin Kai’s proposal has ruined He Zi’s moment on the podium, American jumper Will Claye decided that winning a silver medal for the triple jump was the perfect time to propose to his girlfriend Queen Harrison who had been cheering him on from the stands.
Where Qin Kai was criticised for stealing Gold Medalist Shi Tingmao’s moment of glory. The gold medalist in the triple jump Christian Taylor said, “I’m glad he could make the most of this moment. This is the Olympic Games, and you know that’s what it’s about: cherishing every moment.”
At The Proposers we are all about bringing happiness to peoples lives so do not usually discuss anything negative. However, over the last couple of days we have been asked to comment on a number of articles regarding Qin Kai’s proposal, one of which you can see here.
Congratulations to all of the Olympians who have got engaged during the Olympic Games. We think that it’s wonderful that their proposals happened in such a meaningful way to them. It really must feel like the icing on the cake.

Proposing is a daunting business. Gone are the days when it was acceptable to get down on one knee to ask your girlfriend those four little words that she’s been dreaming of hearing her entire life, Will you marry me- before sliding that beautiful diamond ring onto her awaiting finger. Today proposing has almost turned into a competition. It seems the bigger the spectacle the greater your love.
Fortunately, we are ready and waiting to give a helping hand so that you too can create the perfect proposal for your partner.
Take a look below to see The Proposers Guide for the best ways to propose in Suffolk.
1. In front of a spectacular building:
If it’s a jaw dropping, treat her like a princess proposal that you’re after then Ickworth House is the ideal location. Whether it’s by the house itself, in the expansive gardens or in the parkland beyond you’re not short of beautiful surroundings to pop that all-important question
Plus think how great your engagement photo will look!
2. In a private venue:
Another location that will make her feel like a Queen is Hengrave Hall.
Imagine hiring the venue and having it all to yourselves. The gardens would make a stunning location for the proposal and you could even arrange to have Will You Marry Me, written out in fire!
3. Whilst glamping.
If you’re nature lovers, get back to it in style with a spot of glamping. Secret Meadows offer luxury gypsy wagons, which would be perfect. Just think how romantic it would be to propose in front of a fire, under a sky full of stars!
We can arrange for you to return to your accommodation after a day of activities to see that it has been completely transformed with fairy lights, flowers, and candles. We can also arrange for a private chef to come and cook a three-course meal for you to enjoy whilst you are celebrating your engagement.
4. At the beach:
Aldeburgh, Claremont, Kessingland, The Pier Beach. Suffolk is lucky enough to have an abundance of beaches so if you want to propose by the sea, this could be ideal for you.
Why not hire a beach hut and get us to come and beautifully decorate it for you with fairy lights, candles, flower petals and personalised trinkets? Alternatively, we can come and organise a private romantic picnic on the beach for you.
5. On a boat.
Whether you hire a cute rowing boat for an hour or two, or a private speedboat for the day, proposing on the water is incredibly romantic and Thorpeness Meare is an idyllic setting.
We once re-created a scene from the film, The Notebook, for one proposal. This involved a rowing boat on the lake, a West End singer to perform the couple’s favourite song, and hundreds of paper swans!

Before Christmas we organised a wonderful Friends themed proposal where Anisha finally found her lobster in Mitesh.
We arranged for five West End singers to serenade the couple with the Rembrandts, ‘I’ll be there for You’, as Mitesh got down on one knee in front of the iconic sofa and lamp that we’ve all come to love from the TV show, to ask Anisha to become his wife.
The whole event was incredibly romantic and the press thought so too! Mitesh and Anisha’s incredible proposal story was picked up in national newspapers such as the Daily Mail and the Mirror. It then travelled all the way across the pond where it can be found in Huffington Post Weddings and The Knot. Plus many more! Take a look below:
(Click on the logos to see the articles).
And these are just some of the news sources. We think it’s safe to say that Mitesh and Anisha’s proposal has definitely taken the world by storm!
Congratulations once again to the happy couple. We wish them all the best in the future!
