Many young couples spend years earning and saving to buy their own home and the thought of proposing or marrying ends up on the backburner. So to catch your other half off-guard, why not pop the question during the months of DIY to create your perfect love nest?
If you’ve just bought your first home or have embarked on a major renovation project, here are some fun and cheap! ideas on how to propose, while still getting some work done!
The writing on the walls: Painting can be tedious and boring, but it’s unlikely you’ll move into your dream home and love every colour they’ve chosen for the walls. So, to spice up the project, and literally spell it out to your fiance-to-be, get creative with those paintbrushes and write that all-important question on the wall. Practically impossible to say no to that and it’d make for some amazing proposal pictures!
Love grows: If you’ve decided to get to work on that garden then why not use this time to create a clever proposal. While the garden is bare and before you plant all the plants, bushes and trees you want dotted around the flower beds, arrange them all into words to spell out Will you marry me?
