If Mary Berry did proposals (they’d be almost as amazing as when The Proposers do them!) Inspired by the queen of cakes and the Great British Bake-Off star, we’ve compiled an ounce of ideas – mixed with a pinch of fun – for the aspiring baker.
Icing on the cake: If you’d like something simple and personal then get in the kitchen and get baking. Create a selection of tasty cupcakes and ice each with a swirly, glittery letter spelling out Will you marry me? Plate up cakes surrounded by rose petals and candles, dim the lights, and stick on some mood lighting for a romantic, intimate proposal.
Cake shop delight: If your fiance-to-be has a favourite patisserie or bakery then get them involved! Ask the bakers to make you a special cake, with the ring box incorporated, and place it in the display cabinet or window before whisking your other half along to the shop for a sweet treat and a big surprise!
Love is sweet: There’s nothing more romantic than a private dinner for two. Set up a special spot under the stars in your garden or even on a roof terrace, and cook a yummy meal made up of your partners favourite dishes. Then, for dessert, present her with a slice of delicious, decadent home-made chocolate cake with those four special words iced on the plate.
The Proposers are a professional proposal planning service. We are bursting full of original and interesting ideas on how to pop the question.
