How to Wet Weather Proof your proposal!

16th December '13

As Proposal Planners, the one thing we can’t control is the weather (Although we have tried at times!)

So heres a guide on how to winter proof and weatherproof your plans in true Brit style.

Pack those Wellies and Brollies! No matter how many plans you have in place and how much you’ve thought about the day, the winter can always throw you a curveball. Plan for the unexpected.

Proposer it up! Rather than packing boring green wellies and a black umbrella why not add a bit of romance by personalising your props!! A heart shaped umbrella and white wellies are perfect to win over the heart of your other half!

Be flexible:If you have planned an outdoor proposal and then it suddenly starts pouring with rain, your’e perfect proposal could be ruined. Which is why you should consider hiring a proposal planner. Why? Because it’s their job to worry about the weather, not yours. Here at Proposer HQ, we always have a wet weather option stored up our sleeves so that you proposal will always be perfect, no matter what the weather throws at us.

Proposer it up: So you want to propose outside but the weather is a problem? Why not recreate the outside world but inside instead? The Proposers can help you decorate a room to make it look like a ski slope, an outdoor picnic or even a winter wonderland…

Wind-proof EVERYTHING: Chances are, if you are proposing in the winter, there is going to be a bit of wind. Which can make it hard if you are using props in your proposal. If you want to have photos of the two of you decorating the proposal area, or want gorgeous candles and lanters to create a romantic atmosphere, remember to anchor them down. The last thing you want is turning up at your proposal spot, to find all your props have blown away

Proposer it up: Having now arranged over 150 marriage proposals, we have faced many harsh weather conditions…which means we are also the experts when it comes to winter proofing your props. Hire us to arrange your proposal and we will make sure nothing goes wrong, so all you have to do is ask those four famous words: will you marry me?
