It’s THROWBACK THURSDAY time.
This proposal is and always will be one of favourite proposals, we absolutely loved planning it and seeing it come together was nothing short of magic.
Unlike most proposals, this one came after 3 years of marriage. Stephen and his wife Estee got married because Estee fell pregnant. Stephen had always been looking for a way to make it up to Estee. He wanted to give her the surprise of a lifetime, and boy did he do exactly that.
The couple flew to London from Singapore leaving their little one at home for a few days with family. Wanting to treat Estee to a tour of London, we thought there’s no better way than to see London on James Bond’s speed boat cruising down the Thames.
It was a gorgeous day in London, and when Stephen disappeared below deck, Estee was surprised to see him return dressed up as James Bond – she thought he was mad but loved the sentiment.
Following Stephen from below deck was a professional violinist who we had arranged to serenade the couple with romantic music – chosen by Stephen.
The boat then stopped in the middle of the river, Estee asked the captain why. He told her to turn around. To Estee absolute amazement she saw 15 huge red golf umbrella’s open up over one of the bridges. The letters on front spelt out ‘Will you marry me?’
As you can imagine, this was the last thing Estee imagined, she was so happy and of course shed a tear (a few tears), as did we.
What an amazing proposal! AND you can watch the whole thing here:
