What to Avoid when Popping the Question

The Proposers
Here at The Proposers, we live and breathe proposals. We love them, and we love playing a part in making them incredibly special and unforgettable. There have been some proposals that have been unforgettable in a different way though...in other words, really terrible. Once you flash that diamond EVERYONE is going to ask you how he asked, and you know you want to have the best story out there! Everyone who comes to us is guaranteed an amazing engagement story, but not everyone who proposes comes to us for help, and thats when you can sometimes get a disaster... These are some of the biggest mistakes that can be made that should definitely be avoided:
1. Being boring
Your other half will always appreciate you going out of your way to make them happy! Your other half will always appreciate you going out of your way to make them happy! There's no excuse for not planning out your proposal... you want your partner to know that this is very important to you! Whatever you do, make sure they know you're making an effort for them. Don't catch them off guard when you're sitting on the sofa in front of the TV and definitely don't go for anywhere unromantic like a car park or Tescos. Make it clear just how much you love them with an exciting proposal!
2. A simple proposal for an extrovert
If they want a flashmob, give them a flashmob! Some people love a bit of a show and dance and being centre of attention. If your partner is one of those people who adore the limelight and like having a bit of a fuss made over them, why would you go small and simple with your proposal? The extrovert in your life would love nothing more than to tell the story of a huge flashmob in Covent Garden, or an elaborate proposal in front of all of your family and friends, so don't disappoint them and settle for any less!!
3. A huge proposal for someone shy
Just look at that sunset! Perfect and intimate! But not everyone likes the limelight, and that's okay too! There are so many amazing proposal ideas that are private just for the two of you; picnics, amazingly decorated hotel rooms, private meals at incredible restaurants... so maybe it's best to pick one of those rather than putting your other half in a situation that will make them feel more uncomfortable than anything else.
4. Being unprepared
Derek & Sara Proposal 012 If you want a beach proposal, it's the perfect excuse for a holiday... There are so many unforeseen circumstances that can affect your special day, and unfortunately you can't control the weather! However, there are some ways to try and avoid any mishaps. If you have your heart set on a beach proposal, one of our beautiful UK beaches in November might not be the best option. If you don't plan your event properly, then the public space you were hoping to pop the question at might have some building works, or might even be shut down!
How to avoid all of these...
